here and meet Ivory--QuiltSmiths' most loyal employee. If you'd like your own
furry friend there are rescue organizations for most breeds. If you love Goldens,
as we do, check out Tennessee Valley Golden Retriever Rescue at
tvgrr.com, or Memphis Area Golden
Retriever Rescue at magrr.org. You'll be glad you did.
Both sites have links to national rescue groups.

SPECIAL ANNOUNCEMENTS
Remember that the Ninth Annual Really Large Football Game
Party ( we can't actually say the real name of the game anymore, according to
some snooty law firm ) will be held here at QuiltSmiths on Sunday, February 1,
2009 from 1:00p.m. till 5:00p.m., or until the Super Bowl's of food are empty,
and the door prizes are gone. Bring those completed projects from 2008 for
Show And Tell. And we will not be
advertising during the Game this year.
QuiltSmiths now sells KOALA brand sewing cabinets and
chairs!
Come in and see Rita for pricing and ordering information.
These Koala sewing chairs are so much nicer than those cheap
chain office supply store chairs, that we are sure you will be thrilled, and so
will your back!

The new Late Winter Class Schedule has been posted. We
have old favorites, and some new projects being offered. See the Classes Page
here on the QuiltSmiths.com site.
A small note here about QuiltSmiths.com . We have yet
to fully recover from the crash of 2007, but getting the site back up to
pre-crash status is a priority this year. Any quilter with FrontPage
experience, feel free to contact us if you can help.
The Ninth Annual Really Large Football Game Party will
be Sunday, February 1, 2009. Come between 1:00p.m. and 5:00p.m. with your
completed 2008 projects for Show and Tell. You would think snooty law firms
would have better things to do with their time. As a result, QuiltSmiths has
canceled plans to advertise during the game this year.
Discounts
We offer a 15%
student discount on class supplies. You can be sure that our fabric is first
quality, 100% cotton quilting fabric. Even if you are a beginner, start with
quality quilt shop fabric. Quality fabric is so much easier to work with, and
produces a superior finished project. We invite you to read the “Quality Essay”
by a recognized fabric expert by following the link at the top of the page.
I encourage you to
use “the good stuff” for your quilt projects. From the time we began
QuiltSmiths, way back in 1999, our goal as a business was to promote and teach
the art and craft of quilt making so as to continue the legacy of those who came
before us. Since then I’ve observed that working with fabric whether sewing,
quilting or other needle work is truly therapeutic. How wonderful that we can
make something beautiful and full of love that also comforts us in the process
of creating, as well as in daily use.
Happy Stitching!
Rita & Michael Smith
